This is grounded and sensitive writing. This crash of our civilizations is nothing new, unfortunately. I am from San Francisco, now living in Tennessee. What has happened to California is tragic. We all feel as if we are imprisoned because we are. Human beings are what is important and not these nation states all selling "security" in exchange for freedom and the importance of the individual.
Made me cry. I hope your mom is with Goddess now. Tyranny is worldwide now. Nowhere to go but here. We must fight for freedom where we are now, unfortunately.
