I was cooking soup.
Yesterday I went to the farmers’ market at the SF Civic center and brought the fixins for soupskie back on the bikeskie….
What a fabulous result I wish I can share with you, my bestest soupest ever
Ginger I peeled for an hours chopped up and the too thick part for the tea, rest in soup.
Carrots smell fresh peel next, wash the peeler hang it back on the nail.
This soup needed two pots.
After I put the carrots in, from Tony Mellow s farm in Coyote, usually my first stop at the farmers. He won't talk about the fact Obomber need to go to jail. Where I was when he ran for dementor in chief …
He changes the subject offa Russiagate hoax….says $3- bucks for the cauliflower, after he asks his wife Anne. Three bucks she says.
This was like the biggest cauliflower, filled like half the pot, chopped up small enough to be unnoticed later…
Had to start the second pot to put the wild celery in there. Two stalks, buck apiece. Smell the good earth smile when ya chop it….never seen real celery in a supermarket like this stuff, only the domesticated.
Running outta room already, squeeze in the kabocha, the pumpkin star of the show. Snuck in some maple syrup just a skooch back there in the first pot before I'd split them up, to shine the kabocha
Tis a kabocha soup, and there was some purple Hawaiian yammers that were all starchy like poison white potatoes I don't eat, but these have a colour and texture, just a few smalls in there ….from the store near my pot shop.
Ah, then the wild gypsy yellow bellish bell peppers, two bags for two bucks each at the end of the day they want to get that food sold not brung back to farm
They turn green in the soup.
I cook it only to boil briefly, turmeric cinnamon balsamic lemonies
This is the best soup I have ever cooked, I wanted you to taste some, you will have to come right over and eat some hot with coconut oiled jasmine rice before tis all gone dear.
Why do they call it jasmine rice?
I missed you.
Yes did miss your wonderful sensible goofyness
And we missed you!!
