As a citizen of the United States, whose great grandparents fled Kiev because of Jew-hatred, I can only shake my head at the wide spread hatred of the country that stopped the Nazis and liberated the concentration camps. Norman Finkelstein's parents would not allow criticism of Stalin in their home. They had been in the Warsaw ghetto and concentration camps.
I've always wanted to go to Russia for many reasons. The two most important are to visit the cemeteries of the soldiers who died in World War II and pay homage; and to see the country from the windows of the Trans Siberian train.
